Welcome To Motivational Mondays. Each Monday I will spreading motivation, sharing what motivates me and where I find my motivation. Motivation is the general desire or willingness of someone to do something. To me motivation means having an strong drive to achieve something. This can mean you can find motivation in objects, people and places. it is not easy to find motivation, have motivation on your journey, be motivating for others or create your own motivation.
Finding motivation is not an easy thing to do. Before you can find motivation one must know or at least understand what motivates you in the first place. First one must understand what they want to achieve, what is the goal? Once you have a goal, you can figure out what is the motivation behind it. Why is it important to achieve it? How would you feel once you achieve it? Each goal will be different for each aspect of your life therefore you motivation for each goal may also be different as well. I find motivation in all different aspects of my life when it comes to the different goals I am looking to achieve. When it comes to business, I find my motivation for other entrepreneurs; mainly female; who created a business empire with nothing and with no help. Nothing motivates me more than knowing that many people started in the same position as me and were able to build more for themselves. In my personal life, I find motivation from my friends as they are married with children and that is also something that I want to achieve in the next few years. When it comes to my cooking skills, I find motivation from other chefs as they have skills and creativity that inspires my own creativity.
There are not many people in my real personal life that motivate me, but the people that do motivate me are very important. My close friends all motivate me in different ways. They motivate me to be a stronger person, stand up for myself, speak my mind more, hold myself and others to a higher standards, step out of my comfort zone and be the best person I can be. My friends have shown me with hard work and a good partner, I can have the family life I want to have and the types of relationships one can have and how they differ between couples. In business, Cara Alwill Layba, Natalie Ellis and Jamie King are some of my biggest motivations. They all have built business empires on their own terms, being themselves but are inspiring and helping women. This is exactly what I want to be doing for my business in the future. I love that they are all doing similar things but have created different business models but are creating business in their own lanes. They are not catty, they are willing to answer questions from women, they believe in being themselves always and they are kick ass in general.
Motivation is an important aspect to having goals, looking towards the future and understanding why you want to achieve the things you do. One of my biggest goals, is to be motivation for others. I want to motivate other girls and women who feel like they have made mistakes and are ready to make changes in their lives. I want to show women that we can make mistakes, fall off the path we feel we should be on or make life changes others do not agree with , we can still rise to the occasion and achieve our big goals. I want to motivate, inspire and support women who do not have that in their daily lives from their friends nor their family. I know and understand just how important it is to have support when trying to achieve your goals. On the entrepreneurial journey, it is hard to find motivation and keep motivation. It is amazing to find people, places or things to keep you motivated.
I believe it is important to not only find motivation from others but to also be motivation for yourself. It is best also to remember to be a motivation for others as well.
Tell me who, what or where you find your motivation.
